Will's practice is formally diverse and critically engages with the poverty in our means of expression when dealing with grand subject matter. He approaches subjects such as the birth of the universe and death with a self-consciously undermined sense of hubris, creating humorous critical interventions that question the role of art in contemporary culture. His work engages in a critical dialogue with the residue of those romantic notions that persist in the wider postmodern/late capitalist consciousness and in the context of contemporary art more specifically. Minimalism and video games have become increasingly important to Will's practice.
Will's piece, The Big Bang, is exhibited in our reception area.
