Gavin Jones is CEO of Swindon Borough Council. Since joining in 2004 he has led the council's attempt to embed co-production into its work.
The focus of these efforts has been the Life programme, which brings together a multidisciplinary team of 10 professionals, seconded from housing, police, Connexions, the NHS, children's and adult services. The team works intensively with at-risk and vulnerable families to turn their lives around over a two-year period.
Gavin is a trustee of the Prospect Hospice and Chairman of Forward Swindon, a regeneration and inward investment company. He is a board member of the New Local Government Network.
