We spoke to Mikko Kosonen, Executive President of the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra, during his visit to London. In this interview Mikko describes the innovation landscape in Finland, a country which allocates 3.5-4 per cent of GDP to investment in research and development.
Mikko also highlights the importance of investment in innovation in times of austerity and refers to the example set by Finland which made a concerted effort to increase its innovation spend when its economy was at its worst.
Our Plan I report makes the case, and sets out a series of recommendations, for innovation-led growth.
