Songs written by children – can you ask for a more adorable Christmas gift to give the music lover on your list?

From the hard work of 56 children over the course of a year, the album, Share More Air, brings children’s imagination to life.

Through song-writing workshops held by The Ministry of Stories, a creative writing and mentoring centre for youth in east London, children aged eight to 13 crafted all of the lyrics of Share More Air.

Communion Records and singer-songwriters, like Ben Folds and Tom Williams, worked together to shape lyrics about cats and loving your Mum into catchy songs.

All profits from the sale of Share More Air support The Ministry of Stories’ free writing workshops for young people. It’s a perfect gift for teachers, music lovers and of course, children!

The Ministry of Stories, located in Hoxton, is a volunteer-led centre that holds workshops for young people all-year round. They aim to spur self-respect and confidence through creative writing. The Ministry of Stories is funded by Nesta’s Innovation in Giving Fund.
