Applications are now open for the Clore Social Leadership Programme, a project that seeks to discover aspiring leaders in the social sector who have the potential to change our communities for the better.

The programme is looking for candidates who are passionate about voluntary community work, with an enduring commitment to making a positive difference in the longer term – to “lead change, and do it with a social purpose”. Having launched in 2008, it has inspired its Fellows to go further in their campaigns and research, from cancer care support to encouraging inter-faith integration through sport.

Twenty candidates will be selected to take part in the programme, which is fully funded and available in 12 and 24 month options. Across this time, the new Fellows will receive specialised tutoring from industry leaders, undertake a secondment in a professional environment and complete an investigatory research project.

Once appointed, the new Fellows will have the opportunity to network with the most diverse and ambitious current and future social leaders, including social activists, entrepreneurs, charity chief executives and senior managers.

Do you work for your community, and want to give more?  If you think you could be a Clore Social Fellow, you can read the programme criteria here. To apply, visit the website, or get the latest updates on Twitter at @CloreSocial. Applications close at midday on 2 June, with the new fellows announced in November.
