Kerry McCarthy
Kerry McCarthy joined NESTA in October 2008 as Head of Knowledge and Learning for Social Innovation and Finance. She is responsible for capturing and disseminating learning from the programme, to shape and inform how systems of innovation can contribute to the resolution of social problems.
Before joining NESTA, Kerry spent six years with the Matrix Knowledge Group, where she designed and delivered a range of research and consultancy projects to support more effective delivery of public services. She worked with central and local government, charitable foundations, not-for-profit organisations and private sector providers.
Kerry started her career as a Probation Officer in London; she continues to sit on the Editorial Board of the Probation Journal.
She is also an occasional lecturer in applied criminology and a member of the London advisory panel for the Common Purpose leadership programmes.
