Senior Programme Manager, Creative Economy - The British Council

The programmes we use to do this are wide-ranging and cover the arts, education, English, science and society. Our UK Arts team works with the British Council’s global network of offices to achieve significant impact and change by finding new ways of connecting and seeing each other through the arts.
We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Programme Manager, Creative Economy, to work with colleagues in the Arts Strategic Business Unit (SBU) and throughout the British Council to ensure that the cultural relations programme contains relevant, high quality, cost effective and impactful components that celebrate and share best practice from the UK’s dynamic creative and cultural industries.
The successful candidate must demonstrate the following essential knowledge & experience:
- Significant specialist and up-to-date knowledge of - and a broad network of contacts in - the UK creative and cultural industries, with an understanding of practice, policy and partnerships.
- Ability to present confidently to senior level external audiences and to communicate sector-specific knowledge effectively to non-specialists.
- The ability to write effectively for a variety of different audiences.
- Line management experience
