Jitesh Gadhia

 

Jitesh Gadhia is a senior investment banker, with extensive experience of cross-border M&A and capital raisings. He has played a pioneering role in transactions between emerging market and western companies.

Jitesh is a British Citizen of Indian origin, born in Uganda and raised in the UK. He was educated at Cambridge University and the London Business School, where he was a Sloan Fellow.

Jitesh started his career at Baring Brothers, rising to become one of its youngest directors. He was also involved in the sale of Barings to ING Group in 1995.

In 2001, Jitesh joined ABN AMRO, where he has led some of the bank's most important transactions on behalf of clients, including Royal Dutch Shell, Severstal, Tata Steel, Morrisons, Corus, LogicaCMG and BHP Billiton.

From August 2008, Jitesh will become Managing Director and Global Head of Advisory at Barclays Capital. 

Jitesh is a Trustee of Guy's & St Thomas' Charity, the UK's largest National Health Service endowment, and of NESTA, where he also chairs the Endowment Committee and is a member of the Finance, Audit and Remuneration Committee.
