Katie joined Nesta in June 2012 and is responsible for the financial analysis and evaluation of new investment opportunities in the social impact market, as well as assisting in transaction execution support and portfolio management.
Katie has a background in social investment previously working for CAF Venturesome, a leading UK social investment fund, where she was responsible for sourcing, executing and monitoring a portfolio of social investments. Katie was also responsible for managing CAF Venturesome's first thematic fund the Community Land Trust Fund.
Prior to joining Nesta Katie worked for a microfinance fund in the Pacific region of Colombia. She started her career at GLE Growth Capital where she managed programmes aimed at boosting early stage investment in the UK.
