Intellectual Property - IP in practice

London - 27 - March

NESTA hosted an interactive discussion on the next phase of IP in the UK - and its impact on small businesses. The panel was led by Andrew Gowers, who headed the Gowers Review on Intellectual Property.

He was joined by representatives of early-stage technology businesses and the creative industries, including Stephen Bates, UK Chief Executive of ANGLE Ventures; John Howkins, Director of the Adelphi Charter; and Lynne Brindley, CEO of the British Library. NESTA CEO, Jonathan Kestenbaum, chaired the event.

We also announced our plans for an IP Accelerator - a mentoring programme to help small, innovative businesses to understand the strategic importance and management of their intellectual property and to help maximise its value.
