About Hidden Innovation - launch and panel discussion

On 19 June 2007, we launched our latest research report - Hidden Innovation. The event also launched the DTI's latest 'Occasional Paper' report - 'Innovation in Services'. We invited both the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry and speakers from industry to join us on a panel to discuss the findings of both reports, after their introductory speeches.

The panel consisted of Alistair Darling MP, Secretary of State for Trade and Industry; Andrew Wolstenholme, Construction Director, BAA; Sir Derek Wanless, Northern Rock; Richard Halkett, Executive Director, NESTA Policy and Research Unit. The panel's chair and introductory speaker was Jonathan Kestenbaum, Chief Executive of NESTA.
