What will the world look like is 2050?  There is every chance it will it be richer, healthier, more connected, more sustainable, more innovative, better educated, and with less inequality between rich and poor and between men and women?

NESTA hosted the launch of the Economist publication "Megachange: the world in 2050". Brimming with ideas and facts, "Megachange" provides fascinating insights from The Economist's top correspondents into the way the world might look in 40 years time.

Speakers:

  • John Andrews, editor of "Megachange" provided an overview of the books themes
  • Philip Coggan on Market momentum: the cyclical nature of economies and markets
  • Oliver Morton on Feeling the Heat: managing the technological, political and ethical risks of climate change
  • Stian Westlake, Executive Director of Policy & Research, NESTA chaired the session
