Institute for Government, in partnership with the National Institute of Economic and Social Research and NESTA is organising a series of seminars on improving the supply and demand for evaluation, evidence and learning in government. This follows up key recommendations in the Making Policy Better report.
The seminar series is organised in conjunction with NIESR and NESTA and is supported by the Alliance for Useful Evidence.
Speaker:
Dr. Rachel Glennerster - Executive Director of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Laboratory at MIT. With Esther Duflo and Michael Kremer, she is one of the prime movers behind the "randomisation revolution" that has transformed both the theory and practice of development economics over the last decade.

The Alliance for Useful Evidence is a global network of organisations and individuals that support 'useful evidence' for policy and practice. Led by Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and NESTA, the Alliance for Useful Evidence will provide a focal point for advancing the evidence agenda, developing a collective voice, whilst aiding collaboration and knowledge sharing, through debate and discussion.
