India-UK Innovation Forum

The Indian Institutes of Technologies - London Chapter (IITLC), in association with the National Endowment for Science, Technology and Arts (NESTA) and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) held the India-UK Innovation Forum at Nesta on 9th September.

Over 100 delegates attended the event which provided industry, academia and Government from the UK and India new engagement and business models that will help strengthen the innovation corridor between the two countries.

This forum was part of a three day visit by senior members of the IITs and adressed:

• The state of innovation eco-system in India and its linkages with the UK
• The question of what does joint innovation and technology transfer entail in practice
• Innovative financing models
• Commercial opportunities for UK industry in India in:
  - Low carbon and sustainable development
  - Advanced and hi-tech engineering
