We'd like to invite you to a conversation with Linda Yueh as she launches her latest book, China's Growth: The Making of an Economic Superpower.
China has transformed itself from one of the poorest countries in the world into its second largest economy in just thirty years. But what are the drivers of China's growth and can it continue at such an impressive rate? And what role will innovation play in the future development of China's economy?
One of the world's foremost experts on the Chinese economy, Dr Linda Yueh is Director of the China Growth Centre at Oxford University, Adjunct Professor of Economics at the London Business School and visiting Professor at Peking University. Linda is also a prolific media commentator and broadcaster with credits including Bloomberg and ITV. From April, she will join the BBC as Chief Business Correspondent, presenting a new weekly business programme on BBC World News.
The discussion will run from 16:30-18.00 (Registration from 16:00) followed by refreshments.
