One day Digital Teachers' Edition is a special digital making CPD event for secondary school teachers across Scotland.
The aim of One Day Digital is to offer support for teachers to create new digital curriculum learning opportunities in a range of different themes including animation, websites, 3D modelling, python, and app development. These sessions will help teachers to better equip young people by teaching them more effectively about the digital skills they will need to be successful in the future.
We are working with a range of partners including CoderDojo, RunRev and Maklab to make sure that teachers attending get a real feel for how these technologies work and get a chance to work hands-on with them over the day so they are able to pass that on to their pupils.
We think this event will be mainly of interest to teachers of Computing, CDT, Science/Physics or Art and Design based subjects but there may be other teachers in your school who are interested in how to use digital technology to illustrate different points, through animations, better use of online resources or technologies such as 3D printing.
The places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis through our EventBrite pages. Each workshop costs £5 and teachers can attend two workshops on the day. Lunch will be included in the cost.
Teachers must provide their own laptop. Clear instructions on how to download and install the free software required will be provided before the day of the event.
