On Tuesday 25 April, Nesta hosted a conversation with Julia Hobsbawm OBE, a leading expert on connectedness in modern life and the world's first Professor in Networking. Julia discussed her new book Fully Connected with Geoff Mulgan, Chief Executive, Nesta.
Offering an insight into the latest thinking in health and behavioural economics, social psychology, neuroscience, management and social network analysis, the book provides a cornucopia of case studies and ideas, to educate and inspire a new generation of managers, policymakers and anyone wanting to navigate through the rough seas of overload.
During the talk, Julia argued that social health is the new blueprint for modern connectedness in a world which is drowning in data and deadlines; an Age of Overload.
Registration for the event opened at 5.30pm. The conversation and audience Q&A with Julia was followed by networking drinks until 7.30pm, where signed copies of Julia’s book were available to purchase.
