Creative Industries

The DCMS (1998) were the first governmental department to adopt the concept of the creative industries and defined it as "those activities which have their origin in individual creativity, skill and talent and which have the potential for wealth and job creation through the generation and exploitation of intellectual property". Creative industries are becoming the most rapidly growing and important part of the UK economy.
