Chris Powell
Chris Powell is NESTA's Chair. He also chairs the Institute of Public Policy Research's think tank and the British Council's creative industries advisory group. He is a board member of United Business Media plc and Riverside Studios.
Chris comes from an advertising background. He joined advertising agency, BMPDDB at its inception in the late 60s before becoming its Chief Executive and then Chairman. He continues as a director of the agency.
In 1995 he was appointed Deputy Chairman of Riverside Community Healthcare NHS Trust. From 2000 to 2002, Chris chaired Ealing and Hounslow Health Authority.
