We've been exploring lots of 'Collaborative Consumption' concepts and enterprises and digging deeper into how public services might embrace the principles of collaborative consumption to rethink models of service delivery. Follow all the latest news and thoughts from our work on Collaborative Consumption here.
Collaborative consumption has been rising in popularity since "What's Mine is Yours" was published last year. Collaborative Consumption businesses use technology to enable trust between strangers, by enabling the sharing, swapping and trading of goods and services. How different would your life be if you didn't trust anyone - who could you share a problem with? Who could you ask for advice or help? Collaborative consumption in public services depends on creating new kinds of relationships with, and between, citizens with a particular emphasis on trust between strangers acting as the glue that holds the system together. Our event earlier this year explored this notion in more detail. It's worth visiting these presentations, as they contain lots of useful ideas and thinking from across public sector and the entrepreneurial community.28.09.2011
