Beth Johnson Foundation: Peer Coaching for Later Life

Mid-life is a pivotal time in an individual's experience of ageing, and choices and changes made during this period can have a significant impact on the quality of people's older age.

The Beth Johnson Foundation has pioneered peer-to-peer coaching as a way to prepare for ageing and build resilience among citizens as they get older and experience transitions in their lives.

Working with local community members, the Beth Johnson Foundation has developed a package of training for peer coaches to support them to set up peer coaching networks within their community. Participants in the service are then invited to become coaches and share their learning.

The service aims to improve resilience, health and wellbeing among users.
