Barnardos is targeting senior executives or managers who are at retirement age, or who have been made redundant, to volunteer as mentors for Barnardos staff.
The opportunity has enabled older workers to continue using the skills they have developed over their working lives, and stay active as they move into retirement.
The service aims to reduce the likelihood of poor health and wellbeing of retirees, as well as having positive effects on the confidence and productivity of Barnardos employees.
