General Election - Will it be the Web Wot Won it?

Date: 12.04.2010

Location: NESTA, 1 Plough Place, London, EC4A 1DE

It's been famously said that were it not for the Internet, Barack Obama would not be President.  Will the same be said of the next UK Prime Minister?

With the general election fast approaching and political parties fighting for attention, NESTA asked: Will digital win the election?

The following speakers considered the role of traditional media in the election race and the impact that new technology will have in determining the winner.

  • Ben Page, Chief Executive of Ipsos MORI
  • George Pascoe-Watson, Former political editor, The Sun and Partner at Portland PR
  • Matthew McGregor, London Director of Blue State Digital
  • James Crabtree, Editor of Prospect

Jonathan Kestenbaum, NESTA's Chief Executive will chair.
