Julie Hanna is Chair of the Board at Kiva, the world's largest crowd-sourced, micro-lending website. She is a Board Member at Socialtext, the leading social networking SaaS provider for business, and an advisor to Idealab, the industry’s first technology incubator. In addition, she advises fellow entrepreneurs, CEO's and venture investors of a number of emerging and later stage internet companies and social ventures, and is an angel investor.

Julie has been an entrepreneur, CEO and founding executive to several successful technology startups. Among them, Scalix, a pioneer and a global leader in open source software, onebox.com (now OpenWave, Nasdaq: OPWV), where she and her team brought to market the fastest growing internet communications service in 1999; Portola, where she was instrumental to the acquisition by Netscape; and Healtheon (now WebMD, Nasdaq: WBMD).
