Ben is an award-winning entrepreneur and writer. He founded Comcate Inc., an e-government software company, at age 14. Today, hundreds of local governments in the U.S. rely on Comcate for customer service, GIS, and permitting applications.
He is the author of the book My Start-Up Life: What a (Very) Young CEO Learned on His Journey Through Silicon Valley, which the New York Times called "precocious, informative, and entertaining".
PoliticsOnline named Ben one of the "25 most influential people in the world of internet and politics." BusinessWeek named him "one of America's top young entrepreneurs." The San Jose Business Journal named his blog one of the "Top 25 Blogs in Silicon Valley." He also is a commentator on NPR's "Marketplace," and contributing writer to Newsweek, the American Enterprise Institute, and the U.S. State Department.
Ben has spoken at more than 40 universities, associations, and embassies around the world.
