Seedcamp is a Europe-wide initiative to support the next generation of technology entrepreneurs, by providing seed funding plus access to the collective experience of mentors.
At the heart of the programme is Seedcamp Week. The events and activities of the week are designed to give first-time entrepreneurs a chance to show what they'd be able to achieve with investment, support and the right connections. NESTA Investments has provided funding and support for Seedcamp.

NESTA and the Bioindustry Association are championing a series of meetings to promote angel funding into appropriate Life Science (medtech, biotech) companies. Supported by some of the UK’s most active Lifescience angel investors in the country BioAngels seeks to find new ways to link early stage Life Science businesses to commercial partners and hands on investors. The British Library’s Business and IP Centre facilitates access to the Library’s unrivalled source of information on intellectual property, helping entrepreneurs to identify just how novel their idea is, as well as its market potential and competition base. The Centre also offers training courses and meeting space. Over 6,000 entrepreneurs used the service between 2007 and 2009. Our support is seeking to expand and roll out their Business and IP Centre which provides entrepreneurs with essential information on market, competition and IP to help them develop their ideas and establish high growth potential start ups.
Backed by an angel investor syndicate and NESTA Springboard is a 13 week mentoring programme which combines support and networking opportunities, as well as up to £15,000 of investment capital.
The intensive mentoring programme replicates the successful US pre-seed accelerator programme developed by Y Combinator and TechStars will run from April to July next year. Core to the success of the model is the support from leading Venture Capitalists, Angel investors and entrepreneurs who have agreed to mentor these high growth potential businesses.
