The Royal Shakespeare Company

NESTA has been providing support and insight during a three year project by the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) to transform how their organisation works.

The RSC has been working to transfer their "ensemble" way of working used by the acting company, into the rest of the organisation. Through this it has developed a set of recommendations around how innovation can create a thriving, 21st century cultural organisation.

The project has been closely followed by the think tank, DEMOS who produced the evaluation report of the key activities and findings.

This evaluation report ensures what has been learnt about business innovation in cultural organisations can be shared with others. The emerging themes reflect NESTA's insight into how the right balance of innovative practices, strong leadership and collaboration across the whole of an organisation, can lead to creative success.

Watch the launch event for the evaluation report.
