The European Commission launched a challenge prize in memory of Diogo Vasconcelos. The aim of the challenge is to find the best social innovation solutions to help people move towards new types of work. The competition includes a strong mentoring component for shortlisted entries.
The deadline for entry was 21 December 2012. The three best project proposals will each be awarded with a prize of €20,000 in May 2013. Nesta is providing expertise in challenge prizes and in social innovation to support the design and execution of the prize.
