NESTA offered Alex financial support and business mentoring to help her apply her vision and grow her business. "I learned so much - I'd never even done a business plan or a forecast before. For the first time, I started to delegate properly. Without NESTA, my business would not have survived."
Alex's business has gone from strength to strength. She was judged one of the hottest new talents at London's Fashion Week, and her business was short-listed by Real Business as one of the top 50 companies to watch in 2005.

Alex's unique knitwear designs have earned her a place among Britain's top designers. Real Business deemed her "the young fashion designer set to rival Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen."
