Catherine Bithell

Catherine, who is currently on maternity leave, leads Nesta's Communications and Events team which covers external communications, media and stakeholder relations, Nesta's digital strategy and events programme.

Catherine is an experienced communications professional who has previously worked as an Associate Director for the communications agency, Forster, Director of Communications for the Institute for Public Policy Research and as Head of Media and Campaigns for the trade union Unite. She has also worked in both national and regional government.

As a trained journalist, with an extensive background in issues-based communications, Catherine's vision is to raise innovation, and the work of Nesta, to the top of business, government and third sectors agendas.
