Vicki joined Nesta in October 2012 where she leads our new innovation programme on Ageing.
Prior to joining Nesta, Vicki spent six years with the Young Foundation as a Programme Leader for government and international innovation. Her diverse portfolio included the Ageing Well Programme (working with 37 UK local authorities to re-design their support services for older people), in-depth ethnographic studies on worklessness, teenage pregnancy and the impact of government cuts on the most vulnerable, and bespoke advice on innovation systems to UK and international governments.
Vicki is an accomplished facilitator and was most recently involved in designing and delivering innovation skills training courses for entrepreneurs, government officials and third sector workers through the Global Innovation Academy.
Vicki also worked in regeneration and community development for Sheffield City Council and delivered European Union funded regeneration projects in South Yorkshire for a variety of community led companies.
