Nick joined Nesta in February 2012 and leads the management of the Innovation in Giving Fund. He has a background in policy, commissioning and third sector engagement within local government.
Before joining Nesta in February 2012 he was Head of Communities and Third Sector at the London Borough of Camden, where he led the council's team responsible for developing strategy and relationships with the third sector. He led the development of an innovative third sector funding programme and chaired the council's senior commissioning group.
Prior to this he worked in a range of roles relating to housing and homelessness before becoming Head of Housing Strategy also at Camden.
Nick has a first class degree in History from the University of Liverpool as well as a Masters and PhD (both in Modern History) from the University of York.
