Ed Wallace

Ed joined Nesta in October 2010 and has worked across a number of programmes supporting innovation in local public services, with a particular focus on engagement and the use of digital technologies.  

He led the Your Local Budget programme, which supported innovation in the use of participatory budgeting by local authorities, and ran a series of events as part of the Creative Councils programme.  Recently Ed has been focused on the products and learning from Nesta's digital technology programme Reboot Britain. 

He has a background in public engagement, involvement and research, particularly within local government. Before joining Nest he was Head of Engagement at the London Borough of Camden where he managed the council's central engagement and consultation functions and oversaw the coordination of activities across the organisation.

Prior to this, Ed undertook housing research and needs analysis at Fordham Research and worked as social services support worker.

Ed has a degree in Geography from the University of Plymouth and a Masters in Applied Social and Market Research Techniques from the University of Westminster.
