Nick was appointed as the first Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the University of Cambridge in April 2007. He is responsible for the management of the university's central assets, including its endowment fund.
For the years 1997-2007, Nick was employed by Man Investments. He was CIO of Man Global Strategies, one of the three multi-manager alternative investment divisions within Man Group plc.
He was responsible for finding, and carrying out due diligence into alternative investment managers, their subsequent monitoring, and portfolio allocation.
Previously, Nick was a director at GNI Limited and the portfolio manager of a hedge fund investing in developed foreign exchange markets.
His earlier career included periods working for County NatWest Investment Management and Touche Ross, where he qualified as a chartered accountant.
He is a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers and a graduate in mathematics of King's College, Cambridge.
