Professor Stephen Emmott

Stephen Emmott is Head of Computational Science at Microsoft.

Stephen leads a multi-disciplinary research Lab and an international research programme focused on developing radically new approaches to tackle fundamental problems in science in areas of societal importance.

Prior to joining Microsoft in 2004, Stephen held scientific positions at University College London, NCR Corp, Bell Labs (USA) and the University of York.

He is a Neuroscientist. Additionally, Stephen is Professor of Computational Science at the University of Oxford.

Stephen is a member of NESTA’s Creative Economy committee.
