Innovation vouchers workshop: Practice into Research
On Monday 20th of October, NESTA held an international workshop on innovation voucher schemes called Practice into Research. The workshop's aim was for experts to share their emerging experiences of designing and running these schemes and, in particular, of how voucher schemes can be structured to provide robust insights into knowledge transfer and innovation. There was a strong emphasis throughout the day on methodologies by which public agencies can learn and experiment through their interventions. There were presentations from the Netherlands, Ireland, Canada, Finland, Sweden and England. Professor Gerry Stoker from Southampton University gave a keynote speech on controlled experimentation and public policy."
